Testimony

Danone International Research and Development Centre.
"In March 2000, Danone was looking in Europe and in certain US regions for a site for its international research and development centre, which was expected to accommodate some 700 employees. After six months of assessing and comparing various sites, Essonne was chosen for the location of the centre. The site opened in June 2002, with 28,000 sq.m of laboratories and offices, representing an investment of 50 million US dollars.
Our choice was based on the advantages offered by the Plateau de Saclay as a scientific and technology cluster, as well as the plans draw up by local authorities to promote the centre’s creation and growth. I would also like to thank the Essonne Development Agency for the quality of its work."

Bernard Giraud, Director - Danone Initiative.
